The African research Excellence Fund (AREF) development program is a program launched in order to support African researchers.
The AREF was established by the UK medical Research Foundation whose aim is to invest in talented and upcoming researchers in Nigeria. Their vision is to grow a community of African researchers who will deliver excellent research in Africa.
OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM
AIM: To support african researchers who are working on important challenges for human health to improve their skill as a researcher.
WHAT WE OFFER: We offer a 3-9 month placement at a renowned and leading research institution in Afria or europe and also support your home institution up to a maximum of 38,000 pounds before and after the placement
To apply for this fellowship, you must be a national of a country in sub-Saharan Africa.
Clinician. Essential: Applicants with PhD/DPh/MD should have been awarded the doctorate from a recognized institution of higher education after may 2014
Non-clinician. Essential: must have a PhD qualification within the last six years.
This call closes at 12:00 hours (GMT) on September 23, 2020. the awards will be announced at the end of 2020.
